Review of SpyBubble

SpyBubble's logo
Hi, I´m back and ready to write again. Frankly, I thought that writing a blog would be much easier, but here I am.

Well, I´m going to start my first review (yay!) by talking about a clever little program called SpyBubble. SpyBubble is a cell phone spy program that is meant to be used on a smartphone. If you don't know what a cell phone spy program is, then check my previous post where I talk and explain in detail what those things are.

SpyBubble is a brand of cell phone spy software that is used to allow you to obtain information about a person through his or her smartphone. If you are wondering if this is unethical or wrong and would like to hear my opinion about it, then please read what I had to say about the matter in my previous post.

What does SpyBubble Offer?

SpyBubble has basically 4 features. Allow me to elaborate on them.

a) It allows you to see every number and name on the smartphone's phonebook.

b) It allows you to see the call history of the smartphone. This means you can see how many calls have been sent or received, the phone numbers of the people who have been contacted, and the date and time the calls were made. If the number that has been called happens to be in the phone's memory and has been assigned a name, then you'll be able to see that name as well.

c) It allows you to read the content of all incoming and outgoing text messages. Yes, you can actually read the words that are included in each text message (if you install it on the phone of a teenager, I hope you can read L33T and understand things such as as "lol, I so rulz d prty"). In addition to the content, you'll be able to see if it's an incoming or outgoing message, the phone number of the other person, and the date and hour the text message was sent. If the number of the other person happens to be on the phone's memory, you'll be able to see the name of the person too.

d) It allows you to see the location of the phone (and by extension, of the person carrying it) on Google Maps. Just the same way Google Maps marks a location when you look for an address.

It's important to mention that all this information is stored on SpyBubble's page the moment it's generated. Therefore, if the person carrying the phone erases it, for example by deleting his text messages, you will still be able to access it on the webpage.

In addition, there are some functions that only work on certain phones. I've heard people complain that SpyBubble and other brands don't make all their functions available to all phones, but frankly, it is impossible for these companies to work on old models because they have to keep up with the dozens of new models that come out every week. Anyway, I don't consider these functions as important as the basic ones anyway. For example, what would you rather know, the people that the person carrying the phone is contacting or what webpages he has visited?

What Smartphones are Compatible with SpyBubble?

Ufff, the list would be too long to post it here. Moreover, as I said before, there are dozens of cell phones coming out each week. The best way to know if your phone is compatible with SpyBubble is to see its type or operating system is compatible, rather than the model. Here is a list of the types and operating systems that are compatible with SpyBubble. There is also a model list, and the guys try to update it as often as possible. However, if you're phone is relatively new, then go by operating system.

I would like to point out that in the case of iphones, you need to jailbreak the phone. Because iphones normally only run apple applications, a jailbreak is needed to let them run other applications. While SpyBubble gives you some pages where you can learn how to jailbreak an iphone, I suggest you go ahead and read about it beforehand so you will be more familiar when you get the instructions.

How Does Spy Bubble Work?

In order to use SpyBubble, you have to create an account on their website. The process is very easy, it feels a bit like creating a free e-mail account, such as yahoo mail or gmail. When the account is created, you'll receive the specific instructions on how to install SpyBubble depending on your phone. You can spy on as many phones as you want, but only one at a time. I strongly recommend you to familiarize yourself with the phone and its menus, read and follow the instructions carefully and have plenty of time to install the program, all in order to avoid problems during the installation.

Once all this is done, you can log into your account and use the menus of the site to see the information that you need. The interface is not impressive at all. It looks like a colored excell sheet in the middle of the screen. This is not necessarily a bad things, as it draws less attention. I recommend you scroll down the screen until the SpyBubble logo is not visible anymore for maximum discretion.

How Reliable It Is?

Considering that SpyBubble is on the lower range of price of cell phone spy programs, it works surprisingly well. To be honest, the simple look it has made me lower my expectations. However, while not sexy, it gets the job done and it's simple to use. In fact, I would say its simplicity is a plus for those people who are not very knowledgeable about computers. There are some options that are nice to have, but not indispensible. For example, you can select if you want too see outgoing calls, incoming calls or both.

Not everything is la vie en rose. For people like me, the simplistic style and cartoonish logo might be a turn off. Plus, like any other cell phone spy program, SpyBubble requires that the smartphone comes with an Internet plan. Although why some people would get a smartphone and not equip it with Internet access is beyond me.

Another disadvantage is that the program won't work well if the Internet provider's network is down for some reason, although that's the fault of the Internet provider. Also, if the phone is out of the network, for example in an airplane or in a very deep basement, the program will also have a hard time sending the information to the webpage. On the other hand, the program works as long as the phone is inside ANY network at all. So, lets say that the phone is with Verizon, and then the person takes a plane to Paris. The program won't work while on the plane, but the moment the person gets down the plane and into a network in Paris (I don't know what cell phone networks there are in Paris, but this network will definitely not be Verizon), then the program will start working again.

How Much Does It Cost?

SpyBubble sells for $49.95 US dollars. If you don't like the program or can't get it to work, then you have a 60 days guarantee where you can ask for a refund. You can pay with Visa, MasterCard, or Paypal.

As I mentioned before, it's on the low range of prices.

Is the Program Ethical/Legal?

I discussed this in my previous post and I'm not going to repeat it in every single review. Go ahead and read it if you want my opinion on this matter.

Should I Buy It or Not?

If you are looking for something simple to use, cheap, reliable and you don't mind how it looks, then go for SpyBubble. On the other hand, if you're looking for something more sophisticated and you are willing to spend the extra cash, then consider other options.

  4. I like the part where you talk about people who own a smartphone but never have any credit. It's frustrating and funny at the same time. Anyway, thanks for the word, I thought SpyBubble was a scam but it seems pretty legit wherever I read about it.
